So I had a dream....

...Tuesday evening I received a musicman bongo that I bought off a fellow TBer. It's that classy orange colour, with white ice pickguard. First Musicman I have ever played before. Yesterday, less than 24 hours after owning the bass, it got it's first gig which went very well.

So I come home and go to bed, and here's where the dream happens that I'm walking down my stairs with the bass without a case, and I slip and it lands right in a nosedive on it's headstock, cracking the neck all the way through, and taking a 2 inch chunk off the headstock. Let's just say it scared the pants off me and I woke up! Still giving me the chills thinking about it.

Have you ever had a simular experience?

My wife had a dream while she was pregnant with our daughter.She saw our daughter on stage, aged about 18... playing MY FAVOURITE FRETLESS Bass!!!

On the plus side I've got 17 years before I need to part with it, and
I can start shopping for a replacement sometime before then. :-)

Hmm , yeah ive had some bass nightmares.
But they mostly include upright basses , i remember when for a long time ago starting to play the upright bass i had a very nice pricey bass and i had it standing in the corner of my room. Sometimes i woke up thinking it had fell down or so.
This stopped after a couple of months though.

I once had a dream that my Les Paul jumped off the wall smashed a printer and got a crack in the neck. then i woke up and realized it was true!

One time when I was 14 or 15, I had a dream that I was getting a shirt out of my dresser drawer, and when I picked it up, there was an Ibanez headstock underneath, so I pulled that out, and there was somehow a full SR885 in my dresser. It was strange.

I once had a dream where my bass' neck was slowly braking until there was a thin lair of fingerboard holding it together. I was playing it and, at the same time, trying to keep it from crackin all the way... creepy

I've had one bass related dream, I sent my current bass to be fitted with a new neck and received a "custom" bass in change. It resembled a Wishbass. What a nightmare.

Haha, I had a dream where a bass had arrived that I had apparently ordered. I opened the box though and the neck was twisted around backwards with the strings pulled tight. I got mad and tried to chase down the mailman, and ended up at a gas station where Joe Pesci was working behind the counter.

My dream was I was playing a big show, and my bass strings were on the opposite side of the bass, then I broke the speaker cab in half by looking at it, and discovered it to be filled with cheese...

I had one dream where me and my then girlfriend were sitting on the couch, and then I turned around and she became a bass, a nice fender jazz, and then I played it/her?

man, I've had so many dreams about my bass breaking...

my latest one was a few nights ago. I dreamt that the flame maple top and fretboard some how got seperated from the rest of the bass, while I was playing it. Needless to say, it sucked.

I remember one dream where I was at my cousins house, and I found out that one of his walls slid open to reveal a secret room. Inside were a bunch of the most AWSOME basses I'd ever seen. So I picked em up and was playing em. It was AWSOME!!.

then I woke up and was like, &@*%!!!!! I was PISSED!!

My bass dreams, usually involve rusty strings.

I started having musically related nightmares, when i started playing guitar and bass.

at what age did they start for u guys?

i had a dream that i went to a bass store in florida and it was so humid that the fodera's were being kept ina freezer, so i had ot ask a guy to get one out for me to play. then i rocked out!

with the weather, being the way it is, i'm going to have to start keeping my basses on ice

I had a dream where I was playing on SNL with a famous artist (who shall remain nameless) and I was unusually sucky. The cast and audience started throwing tomatoes at me. It was weird.

yeah ive had crazy dreams about my basses (and effects) being busted or stolen. i wake up startled and look over to see them. Ah, sweet relief.

I had a weird dream I went to get my Gigbag from my room to go and practice and I found a rucksack with a tiny minature bass in it in my bass' place, about a foot long. I then pick up an amp disguised as my pencil case.
I begin to then go round the blocks of my uni dorm and ask for pennies and as I play the bass gets more and more strings. I think I got up to 34 strings. I can also remember that the amp was really powerful even though it was only 8 inches long and 4 inches high. Imagine concert standard.
Then I reach the music room and my 34-string bass then melts.
This dream must mean something...
