So I was watching "Bird", the film about Charlie Parker.

In a scene near the end there is an early rock and roll band. I thought something was fishy when the P the guy was playing sounded a bit... bright. And then it showed the bass.

It was a Stingray. In ~1955.

I went into dry heaves.

You can insult my mother all you want, but when you start making bass-related anachronisms, things get personal.

I'm calling my lawyer right now to discuss my options.

i'm just happy clint eastwood made such a movie for a person that is very under-celebrated in America... he also made Straight, No Chaser about Thelonius Monk.. he's even less celebrated than Bird.

yeah, I can overlook the anachronism, considering how good the movie was otherwise.
Sad move, though, about a sad life. So very sad.

If your main comment after seeing it is "they used the wrong electric bass for the rock band", then we are probably coming from very different places.
