Some quick crowd shots from the stage last night.
This was a cancer benefit and it went well almost sold out.
Last pic is a equipment drawer full of Jager one of the perks of a sponsor.
Finally got to run my SVT at a good level.
Should be some more pics popping up on our face-book page today.
Just wanted to share it was a good show!

It appears as though some of those people don't like music and/or cameras. I've never played to a crowd that big, must be exhilarating!

The middle finger is kind of a shtick with us. Our singer asks for it every-time he takes a pic so there's a lot of finger pics on our facebook page.

We played a show down at the Mountain View Community Center to open for Heroes & Zeroes and Kill Tango. It was supposed to be around 200-300 people, a big all-ages show. *Maybe* 20 people showed up.

Yeah, well...Mountain View, you know.

Seriously though, it's all about promotion and advertising. I know it's probably not YOUR responsibility but as a band, you guys shouldn't wait for MVCC to do the promo. They are focused on the kids and the programs for the kids and they aren't going to even think about promoting someone else's show.

Did you guys make posters and put them up around town?
Did you record a PSA (public service announcement). What kind of music do you play? Take your PSA to the radio station that plays that kind of music (like K-Whale if you're a hard rock/metal band). If you don't record a PSA, you should at least write one that the radio DJ can read on the air. Keep it short; they won't read a PSA that takes more than 15 seconds (1/4 page).

I've lived here for years and I've never heard of your band (or that show) so someone's not doing good promo.

I hear what you're saying, and that show was incredibly well promoted. It was put on by KZND (94.7) and they had ads running for weeks. We were interviewed for the Artist of the Week and mentioned in the ads, by the DJs on the air, and they played one of our songs a few times. We're pretty new, but as far as name recognition I think we're doing pretty well.

Honestly, the station did a good job promoting. The general consensus is that "Mountain View" scared most people away.

If I am being honest, I must point out that they were not there to see us exactly.....

KZND has listeners?! When did that happen?!
HA! HA!

Yeah, I suppose the fact that the show was in Mt. View might have kept the crowd thin.

Anyway, we're digressing from the topic.
