I dunno, I understand that smashing up your instruments is meant to be hardcore and rock and roll, but whenever I see kids doing it, I just assume it means that daddy has a lot of money.

"Oh, another bass broke? Never mind, son, here's £400, go and buy yourself another one."

That was so METAL!!

I wonder what was going through his head just before he did it. Like what did he think would come of it? What was his "best case scenario" for a move like that?
God, I hate people so much.

I thought that was funny! if he'd landed it would've got the crowd going. Epic on stage aerobics ftw! however, trashed instruments are only cool when it happens by accident. and that's as long as it's not yours.

I thought it was a bit funny.

Appearantly all the haters know nothing about rock&roll.
It has nothing to do with music, it has to do with doing stupid moronic stuff like this.

Besides, if the bass player didn't do that catastrophic dive we wouldn't be here talking about this occurance.

That tends to run through my mind as well. Being a college student with no headroom for G.A.S. It makes me sad seeing instruments being abused.

more than likely he just fixes it up and uses it at next gig, i believe that's the way to do that crack, unless you're Motley Crue, then you buy P-basses to smash up

Nah, he'll sell it on Craigslist ... for more than he paid for it.

I guess you haven't seen early live Nirvana huh? lol

I saw Krist Novoselic throw his bass up in the air and hit himself in the head. Finished the set all bloody and everything. Great stuff.
