Has anyone used some stuff called "What Odor?" ?

It was on ads by the late Billy Mays, and it really seemed to work.

Plug a fan up and let it blow on the amp and cab 24/7,UP CLOSE.And,also spray a odor neutralizer (Febreeze,Lysol). If it will fit,put a box of backing soda inside your cab(thru one of the ports),when not playing it,of course.

I just don't panic with my stuff smelling like smoke or a bar.Comes with the territory.I guess my rig IS relic'd!!
It's funny though,my Carvin that I received in July of '97 STILL smells like it did the day I received it(the oil finish, maybe?).Still smells good.My band will be practicing, and, say for instance, the drummer and guitarist will be working something out. Then, they look at me.What am I doing??Smelling my bass.Weird,I know.I don't care,it smells good.

This helps me. My ML case is lined with fur and when I bought the bass from a friend it smelled like smoke it killed me. My room smelled like smoke. But this should help.

Only if you bother to report it. If you're boxing the bald headed clown...well...under the table, then I don't think they can tax you. Unless you get caught! Once you're "caught with your pants down" so to speak, they'll start looking into every nook and cranny with a magnafying glass!

It doesn't really correlate. Others eating shellfish would not affect you if you had shellfish allergies. You can eat your non-shellfish dinner even right next to someone eating shellfish and you'd be fine.

The food at the Spanish restaurant was awesome. But I couldn't even finish my meal because I couldn't breathe. Not didn't want to breathe. Couldn't.

I would think so, as it also is kinda sticky.

Well Felix Unger, your butt smells like it was in a bar as well..
when you want it to stop stinkin you wash it! I should be able to go where I want to go...and if you don't want to come in because people are smoking fine... .If you are afraid of hieghts...you don't get a job as a high rise window washer! If you are a waiter or waitress...its your fault you did not pay attention in math and english class and/or got knocked up before you were ready!

Yeah! +1! Great idea!
If you have talent and desire and you've put time and money into learning how to play music and you really want to get out there and play for people to have a good time, you should abandon your hobby/dreams/profession and shut your whiny a**es because we "I gotta right!" clowns wants to SMOKE in your WORK ENVIRONMENT!

And just incase you people missed it, let me clarify for you:
If you work or every have worked in the food services industry it's because you're a lazy, uneducated, fool who deserves to have your life suck! And YOU chose to have a child cuz your stupid and didn't get an education!

Who's rockin' the stage and who ain't, bimbo? Now bring me another stale beer, beer wench! And don't whine to me. I don't care if you have to stand on your feet for 10 hours a night getting your butt squeezed and taking orders from guys like me so that you can feed your kid while you're trying to finish college. I don't care cuz I'm in a band and I'm rockin' the stage, wench! You bes' recognize!

You just don't get it do you, stupid? The smokers paid attention in school...that's why we KNOW smoking is bad for everybody around us...but we're so cool that we don't care! LOL! Anyway, you're lives SHOULD suck! We SHOULD smoke in your face cause you didn't pay attention in school!

You're all just pus-a-fide! And when I'm laying on my hospital bed hooked up to an iron lung begging the nurse between bloody coughs for more morphine because I can't take the pain--don't think it's cuz I'm pus-a-fide...cuz I ain't! I'm tough! I'm so tough and macho that if my favorite bar doesn't smell like stale cigaretts left over from the 2nd World War mixed with yak vomit, I'LL LEAVE!! Don't even try me, foo'! I have rights!

Go eat your veggie wrap! You soy bean eating, pus-a-fide environmental nazi emo-queers! And you wear socks with your sandals, you FREAKS!

I'm so worked up now, I need a smoke!

------------------------------------------
Of course all of that was a joke. Personally, I don't care too much if you smoke or not. I don't care if my gear smells. If my clothes smell I wash them.

But I'm enjoying the fact that this thread has gotten so nutty! When it's too serious it's boring.

Let's change it to week gened people and peanuts... where the smell will even trigger an episode....I'll wait for you to correlate that scenario.....tik tik tik..... Those food places have to post if they use peanuts and peanut products or not....if the peanuts and smell bother you, you can GO AWAY
Whilst the other Peanut Patrons ...BTW who were there before you...enjoy a nice PBJ or a bag of roasted peanuts or some Thai dishes...if you go in anyway, because you see others are enjoying themselves and you want to hang....that is dumb on your part plain and simple!

Some good advice here but this can be found elsewhere on TB in other threads (search people), so this one stays closed.

It wasn't really going anywhere.
