Surfing and Playing?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm wondering if I'm the only one here who does this... My basses and my Epi Valve Jr. are right next to my computer so I find myself plugging in an noodling while I'm surfing TB. Does anyone else here play and surf TB? If so what do you use, do you use your full rig or just a small practice rig that you have lying around?

I have both my basses on a Hercules stand right next to my desk, so when my computer is being slow i can just take one off and noodle around a bit. I play through my little Acoustic rig thats like 10 feet away.

I noodle when surfing too! I usually do so with low volumes on the bass, as not to disturb the neighbours. I usually have the radio or some music on as well, so I play along. That's like, triple multi-tasking!

I usually surf TB at work, so unfortunately I never get to play at the same time, but I alwas have my bass near at hand when I'm just sitting around/watching TV/playing computer games/ whatever.

Usually I surf after my surf sessions. Sometimes it sucks if the water is cold. My fingers get stiff and if I stay in too long my fingertips get soft and pruned. I lost many a fingertip this way.

All the time, even when watching movies... Yeah, no one likes to watch movies with me. I've gotten into a subtly terrible habit of playing bass sub consciously, which often leads to air bass

I do and it has negatively affected my practice. I end up surfing more than practicing.

That's how I learnt to play (more or less).
Sat on my bed, iTunes on, looking over Facebook or whatever, playing anything and everything I thought I could.
