Sweet Jesus, they just added a precussionist on me! I'm scared!

Okay, at church , I play with: A lead singer, a six voice choir, a drummer, a keyboard player (A, watch that left hand buddy!), and the congregation clapping and singing along and now, they've just added a percussionist to the mix!

This lady has hand drums, a cow bell, a wood block and two tiny, but loud drums she plays with sticks, all on the same rig, all next to the normal drummer!

This really fills out the sound but I'm scared. Their is a lot going on around here! I'm just laying low (no pun intended) and watching the congregation shout, the singers praising, the lead singer singing, the drummer drumming and the precussionist sweating as she's getting busy, and all 6 of my senses are overloading with the sights and sounds!!!


Not in a bad way though, It's exciting. We burst into improvised praise breaks alot when we just get loud and crazy and you should see me, I get so scared because it's like I'm running through a mind field trying not to step on a mine (wrong note)!

When praise service is over I check myself to see if I'm still in one peice! I just had to get this off my chest.

Haha, sounds pretty invigorating! You should get somebody to videotape it one day (if you're allowed to do that, I know we wouldn't be allowed in synagogue).

Wow!!I am in late 30's now,and my hearing is getting weird.I can hear great,but when there are a lot of differant things going on around me at once,I get overwhelmed.This has that written all over it--I couldn't do it or I would almost need to be as far away from her as I could.
