Talk about being over confident........

I've had this obsession/love affair with my MIM Jazz, it's nothing spectacular I've just fallen for the way it plays ever since I dropped some MIA pups in there. Anyway, last night was my band's 3rd anniversary gig, and ofcourse me being an idiot I neglected to bring a back up. Well, I leaned my bass against my rig and down it went causing the nut to come off half way, I was able to bang it back in and slavage the gig but it took forever to tune and I played a horrible set, from now on I'll never forget a backup again. Curiousity may have killed the cat but stupity killed my night..............:bas sist:

Wow, no offense to you, as it sounds like you love your bass, but I'm surprised the bass simply falling over caused the nut to pop out like that.

That's why I always bring a stand for my bass. But the bass usually goes from the case to me, and then right back in the case when I'm done. But I also bring a backup bass, just in case I break a string or something.
