While I was outside burying a Raccoon, I was thinking to myself that it would be funny to write a song about TalkBass, but all I could think of was the first two verses. Then I thought, why not make this a community effort? So, here's the verses I thought of.... someone else can write the next! Let's see how long we can make this song.
"There's a new place I hang out at
It's called the TalkBass forum
I log on and talk with bassists
It helps me fight my boredom"
Verse 3....

In the credits we should cite the "Only on TB" thread as our inspiration. |

I'll have some fun--stereotype!
Or I'll join the rant page

You don't have to show your face.
The only rule we really have is:
You have no pics, then you have no bass

What are pickup covers? (< "-vers" sung in falsetto)
Maybe if you'd just search a little
You wouldn't have to bother (*making threads* <sung by backup singers, slowly.)

Some guys post rants.
Some guy's got $200.
Burning a hole in their pants.
P or Jazz?
Relic or New?
Rig or a Combo?
I just don't know what to do.

I get relief
from my wife yelling in my face
when i tell her of a club
with 50+ basses

from burying a Raccoon.
I ain't got no shovel,
so I had to use a spoon.
He's planted out back,
under the tree where it's shady.
there in the flowerbed,
right next to my last ol' lady.
That last part is not true,
don't get me wrong.
I just remember something like it,
from an old Guns and Roses song. |
