TB'er came to our gig!

Steve "Howlin'" Hansen came to our show this past Friday. I just *knew* that smiling guy over in the corner had to be a bassist, and I was betting he was from TB. (I don't know how I know these things, but I usually do. )

It was such a pleasure to meet Steve! He's got a band working up to some gigs, and I'm looking forward to going to *his* gig.

Thanks for coming to see us, and to meet me, hon!

That's only because you're a woman. Talkbassers don't go to guy's gigs.

Actually, just yesterday I was at the Dallas Guitar show and Fishtx was playing on the Fender stage. I must say, his band rocks! It was great to meet Gerry, and I look forward to seeing them play again.

Besides, I met DigMe at his gig once...

Absolutely my pleasure, Cherie!

If the rest of you haven't heard her on Jul and the Chrome Wheels myspace page, Cherie plays tight, clean and solid. (Um, I'm a bit sloppy...) They have added a harp player, and these folks know good blues.

They played a venue that converted from a country disco to a sports bar with live music three nights a week, so Cherie and her band are ground breakers there...and they drove 30 miles to play a mile from my house--how could I miss that?

Cool folks in the band, they even let me hang out back to shoot the breeze. Thanks to the wife for the personal recognizance release! Rock City Ice House May 22, if not sooner.

Thanks!!! I'm fixing to buy the rest of the stack that goes with my 4x10, so the on-stage sound problems at that venue should be fixed.

Rock City!!! Man, you are going to love that stage, and the sound in that place. Best Soundman EVER!!!

See you soon!

Thanks honey! {{{{{{{{{{[HUGS!}}}}}}}}}}

You let us know when you're comin' this way! We have a jam every Wednesday, locally, so if you're around mid-week, you can come up and play.

If I were to visit NYC, I'd come to your gig, I promise!

If I were to visit NYC, that would mean that my fairy godmother came back from The Caymans with that dumb-but-cute pool boy and got her butt back to work, too. LOL!

Yeah, that place used to be The Redneck Meat Market Capitol Of The World. I'm glad they're having music in there, and that they turned off some of the tv's. We'll bring Bucky, our sound man, next time. The sound onstage is pretty bad. I couldn't hear Jul's guitar hardly at all, and she said I was blasting her so hard she thought the stage might break apart. But if I turned down, they said they couldn't hear me out front. Weird!

A bigger rig should fix it, right! LOL!

Bucky will fix us up right, next time. He's a bassist...he's got good ears!

Cherie
