I had the pleasure of meeting and listening to Easy8 last night at our local jam. He and his band came in and delivered a ***smoking*** set of hard electric blues! Guys, y'all are welcome back any time!!! E8, I know its a long drive for you, and I sure am tickled to have gotten to meet you. And thank you very much for allowing me to play that gorgeous Fender!

Tickled to pieces...

Sounds pretty cool!

Maybe Easy will pup up in the thread and give us some details.

I tell you what, that entire band is hot. Best blues outfit I've heard in a while.

And Easy let me play his '60 Fender P. Oooh, honey, I like-ta-died!

It really was great! There's a bunch of regulars who were not there last night, and they are going to be kicking themselves. I can't wait for Easy and the boys to come back!

Thanks Cherie. It was great to finally meet y'all face to face. We had a great time and really dug the roadhouse vibe at Larry's. I highly reccomend that anyone in the area stop by.

Enjoyed seeing you play my pride and joy, she'll be 49 in December. You played and sang very well and kept it in the pocket, which isn't always that easy in a jam situation. Also loved your stage presence.

I'll try to make it out soon. Half the band lives out on the north shore, but the drummer and I are way south.

Certified Texas blues legend? Nah, let's save that title for T-Bone Walker, Freddie King, Lightnin' Hopkins, Stevie and Jimmie, and all the other true greats. I'm just a humble sideman (isn't that what we bassists strive to be?)

I feel blessed to have been in the right places at the right times and to have some great opportunities.

I'll definately let you know next time I'm in Houston, we'll have to grab a beer.

Thanks very much! I'm very flattered, and really did have a gas playing that lovely bass. Oh, she's *fine*!

So happy y'all enjoyed Larry's, too. That's a sweet little beer bar. Show me the fanciest, most expensive, most exclusive joint in town, and I'll turn right around and go hunt a place like Larry's.

It was a real pleasure, and I look forward to next time!

Cherie
