THE REST IS MUMBLE-JUMBLE!!! OMG,... nobody in the group wanted to talk about it with me,, the "new" guy. so, one day i got up the nerve and asked,.. "Donny,.. what are the words coming out of your mouth"? "i can,t understand your lyrics".
he looks me in the eye and says,.. "the people don't seem to care and as long as they're having fun, you need not worry,... just play that bass son".
DAMN!!! he was right, ppl don't care. case in point... how many of us have favorite hit songs we can never de-cypher the lyrics of???? BUT, we still love those songs..,

...And on top of that, our drummer is the band leader! (He's actually a very talented producer, keys player and songwriter)
I know, it's all very unusual..... and perfect!
Edit: Oops, forgot to mention that he and the vocalist are a couple as well. This makes the second "band with a couple" I've been in.

and we all knew it but never wanted to talk it with him, it was obvious that he wasn't comfortable talking about it.
but one day we did. and he quit the band.
he was the only one using drugs, but also a very important part of the band.
now the band is gone. i miss that damn band.

Two of the members are graduate students who teach and TA, and are writing a thesis (drummer) and a novel (L. guitar).
Drummer is left handed and plays lefty, I am left handed but play righty (this is a weird phenomenon, I liked the first post)
And we play all original. We had one cover in our lineup but it wasn't offensive enough anymore. |
