Some dude came up to me the other night before we went on and asked if I liked my Markbass rig. I thought, cool a bass player wanting to talk about gear! I told him "I think it sounds great." I was continuing on to tell him a bit more and he just cut me off and said, "Ok dude, that's cool." and walked off right in the middle of my sentance.

I thought up a few possibilities here:

a) Attention span of a three year old
b) Wanted to buy it from you
c) Incredibly polite thief(wouldnt risk stealing something you liked

)

nah.......just someone who wanted to hear a "good" or "Bad" simple answer. I get that sorta thing often.. I'm 'into' gear & others are less so, & I oftenfind meself rqaving on about the benefits/shaortfalls of this/that rig, bass etc & I can tell I've 'lost' the listener after a while, so I either just start babbling utter rubbish(to see if they "teig" to it??) OR start saying how "people who don't listen properly after asking a question are stupid, rude, ignorant..... again just to see if they're listening at all! 's quite fun! ;-)
