So I'm workin at Guitar Center, doing that whole selling thing, when one customer comes up, starts messing with the bass setup a bit. He wants basically to try out the BP series we have on display, I turn on the amp, set everything up, and watch him play a bit. And we sit down and start talking about effects a bit, what sounds goo,d he plays a few licks for me, we get a crackup when we use the pedal's envelope filter which pretty much makes decent porno music through bass. But in the end, he grabs the BP200 and takes it up because he's got another sale at the Pro Audio department.
All of a sudden my Assistant Manager is kinda hustlin' and I ask what's up and he says "Dude, Vinnie Paul is in Pro Audio right now!" and all of a sudden, **** just clicked.
I just sold a pedal...to Bobzilla of Hellyea... he played licks in front of me, took me recommendation on some fun dickaround pedals, and had an overall good time, and I didn't even realize who he was.
I went over to Vinnie and shook his hand told him it was cool to meet him, and Bob signed me a ticket and handed it to me. It was for the Korn/Hellyeah concert. I left work early checked it out and had a great time.
I love my job sometimes. |
