But what is the nicest thing a non bass player has ever said to you? |

Granted, she's a friend of mine, but she's not the most musically inclined person, so it was pretty cool that she noticed the change and liked it.

I like hearing phrases along the lines of "Solid and groovin", with the occasional "Badass" thrown in there. |

As a musician:
- "I love your singing voice. It's round and smooth and very pleasant listening to" but in swedish (I belong to a minority in Finland that speaks swedish). That came from a very attractive girl, a friend of our drummer that evening. I drove her home that evening too...  That was three weeks ago and she's kind of stuck on my mind...  She's a singer too, which makes the compliment even more valuable.
As a bass player:
- That I'm a f*****g great bass player. Haven't heard that from the pros I know though....
