It may have been done before this way, but all I could find by searching was "post your setlist" threads. For all the bassists here who play covers, what are your top five covers that really get the crowd going or are called often? I'm trying to expand my repertoire outside of standards, and thought it would be wise to tap into the wealth of knowledge that is TalkBass.

| | Proud to be in the LOWER class \m/ | | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Plainfield Illinois | | | My band usually gets great responses from RATM Killing In The Name Of, Tools Sober, Foo Fighters Everlong, Smashing Pumpkins Cherub Rock, and with the harder rock crowd Tools Cold and Ugly. We are a hard Rock band and most of our shows have had a harder edge crowd, it all depends on your bands style of music. |

I don't mean to act superior to the cover bands, I just much prefer to play something that I can put my own heart and soul into. |

The audience always responds well to these:
The Weight - the Band
Cocaine Blues - Cash
Layla - Derek & the Dominoes
Let's Get it On - Marvin Gaye
Hard Times - Ray Charles
