What gets me is that he played this...then thought to himself, "Yea...this is definitely something I want the world to see."

tabs are not helpful if you can't tune you bass to the key that is on the recording.

Tuning sidenote...I saw an ACDC coverband that was very good a while back. Trouble was the someone in the band kept going out of tune every couple of songs. Then everybody would tune without muting or tuners.........Now that was painful. I wanted to run out to my car and bring them a tuner.

This does seem difficult to explain.

Is he out of tune or just in a different key than the record? It's like being in church. Some people sing in a different key than everyone else. Or those losers at cub park that try to sing the 7th Inning Stretch. Maybe he's just on a higher level than most of us? NAH! Next time I'll just put an earwig in my ear...less painful!

Whatever the problem there he's gotta be tone deaf, I'd suggest switching over to drums asap.

That HAD to be a joke, right??

It must've been, because it cracked me the hell up! But I have a sick sense of humor sometimes.

I wish I could tell a sea story without hijacking the thread... cause I think I played with a guitarist once that I BELIEVE must have been that guy's brother... t'were hilarious!

This man is clearly an avant garde visionary. This some next level stuff, man. Seriously, though, he's good when he's in tune, plus he seems to genuinely dig what he's doing.

Now I'm not bashing picks, but it would sound less "egdy" if he used his fingers.
