Sad...but so true.
Apologies if this has already been posted

First time I've ever seen it and and it's a depressingly realistic depiction. We play lots of covers but we pick them, not the dimwitted barflies. The situation I hate the most is "Play Me and Bobby McGee and I will sing it!". We made the mistake of honoring that request one time and this stupid woman actually turned around and glared at us when we had the nerve to make a bad chord change on a tune we'd never rehearsed before. From that point onward I have generally ignored demanding "patrons" such as these. You're out to please the club management not some bimbo who doesn't know what the hell she is talking about anyway.

Hilarious .....We are a classic rock bar band in our late 40' and 50's. Besides the usual drunk song requests.....we now are getting requests from youngsters wanting to jump on stage and do freeform raps. Nothing clears our normal audience out of the bar faster than hearing really bad hip/hop right after our guitar based rock jams.

"Don't do this at home, folks" is quickly becoming "Please do this at home, folks!"

Retort

I like the story of Popa Chubby's response when someone screamed "Free Bird".
He gave them the middle finger and yelled "Here's your free bird !"
