My band played a bar last weekend. We were the first band on. There weren't many people there, but those who were there sure were glued to the TV showing of Roadhouse. The owner asked us to go on 10 minutes late, but he didn't specify the reason. I think he wanted the movie to end before we went on. We got nowhere near the applause, hoots, and hollers as the shirtless kung-fu Swayze. It was a pretty tough act to follow. |

Everyone was looking our way while they chatted and ate. Then one lady jumped up out of her booth and, staring right at me, shouted "OH, YEAH!" It was for a great tackle, not me. |

I was dragged to see Roadhouse in the theater. Once was enough, I can't even like it in an ironic way.

But, if you can't appreciate the topless girls and the a$$ kicking there is some pretty good music - Check out Jeff Healey's version of Dylan's "When the Night Coms Falling From the Sky" they play over the closing credits. Good stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWB0R...eature=related

Bar gig at a place that was showing the biggest college football rivalry in our area (Kansas vs Missouri) when they were both ranked in the top 10. Had to wait until the game was over because too many people complained when we said we were going to turn the TVs off and start playing. The other was the summer Olympics last year when Michael Phelps got his 8th gold medal. We just stopped playing and cheered along with everyone else! |

I've been hearing more about Dirty Dancing since he passed but that's irrelevant. Everyone knows Red Dawn was his greatest movie! WOLVERINES! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
