Hope this is in the correct forum. Over the years I have seen so many clubs/bars whatever where I have played turn in to something else. The old Adams Mark Hotel here in Philly was torn down and will become a Target in '07. I played there hundreds of times recorded a live CD there. A Jazz club where I honed my jazz chops is now a Dunkin Donuts, Another Jazz club is now carpet store, The local bar where my R&B Band played in the 80's is now a fast food/beer joint, another place where the R&B band played is a supermarket. A lot of good music was played on these sites an few will ever know it

There are quite a few venues here in Dublin. Top Hat in Dun Laoghaire now apartments. The Baggott Inn - building site. The Attic - posh wine bar now. The Dandilion Market - posh restaurant now.........all venues for years for up and coming bands - including the likes of Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy and U2 when they were barely out of their nappies (musically)....And not many venues left here either!

It's fascinating that people are now living, and shopping where those legendary bands played. There are lots of old clubs in Philly where all the Motown acts played that are thrift stores and markets now.

The Rainbow Music Hall in Denver was the location of Led Zepplin's very first American concert..... it's now a Walgreen's drug store. I drive by it every day.
