Superbutt - saw some posters for their shows when doing a gig in Transylvania, looked them up after getting home, was very disappointed that it was very typical hard rock, though the song in the link is pretty solid. Conan's First Date - they might not be bad if you like death'n'roll, but I'd expect a band named Conan's First Date to be a lot more humorous and fun. And have a female singer who's in phenomenal shape. But nooooo... Verb the Noun - they play instrumental indie rock? Come on, if you're gonna be named Verb the Noun then at least play the same style as all those verb the noun bands. Sweet 88 - this was a girl group made up of former NBA dancers. The name seems like nothing special until you realize that "88" is code for "Heil Hitler". I'm sure they didn't know that. Still, Hitler and the NBA has to be the most random unintentional combination ever. Sadly, it seems the album never was done and they just quietly gave up. Springbok Nude Girls - not only do they have a great name but they also have song titles like "Bubblegum On My Boots" and "Grrr", so that got me all excited but then it turns out they pretty much sound like Stone Temple Pilots. And there's no nude girls, either. Come on, that's just not fair.
What great band names disappointed you?

MuteMath: Sadly not silently educational whatsoever...although still a great band. |

| | | | I was always disappointed in We Butter the Bread With Butter. Name is awesome imo but their music was just....bleh. Only one good song and it's not even an original

| | | | TBA- I see them listed all over town and sometimes, it shows they're playing at more than one place at the same time. It's very confusing during Summerfest, when they could be playing at half a dozen stages, usually when I want to see someone else.

On that note, Kiss' solo albums come to mind. (Except Ace's)
