Vintage on ReVintage basses

Sign in to disble this ad
I was in a guitar shop a few days ago.
In the used section they had two early eighties US vintage guitars,
and 3 mid eighties Japanese fender basses.
I pointed out that these were priced a bit high.
The sales guy said that the first versions of Re issue guitars
was now starting to become vintage them self, in away vintage on Re vintage.
A bit funny i think , who would know 20-25 yrs ago that this Re Vintage, would
become vintage by them self ?
And since the Japanese Fender from the 80's are not exact copy's will there ever be
a Re issue of a Japanese 62 re isue form 1986 if it would, thet would be hilarious !

One of my two favorite basses is a 1985 Japanese Fender Jazz bass. I love it! I will never part with it.

That being said, all the guts of it have long been replaced.

Yes they are nice basses.
Just funny when we have a second generation of Vintage gear.
