Wardrobe Issues

B]Wardrobe Malfunction[/b]

I don't take myself too seriously,I wanted to share this pic from our show in Milwaukee Saturday night.

I don't know what I was thinking or why I had a bandana around my neck.

I look like a world class tool.

Any of you guys brave enough to share a story or a pic when you had a wardrobe problem?

Parachute pants and a rendezvous on a break can lead to some embarrassing but epic adventures.

It's hard to imagine why anyone would wear that. It is harder to imagine why anyone would post the picture!
You have my deepest sympathy.

I posted the pic to let these guys know I don't take myself that seriously and that funny stuff can happen at shows.Especially at my age.

Thanks Rob,

It's a 1991 Gibson Thunderbird with a the rare ebony fret board.

Probably the most mis-understood bass guitar on the market. You either love them or hate them.

I also had my Hofner Club Bass single cut away, (not the violin style) as a back up.

True dat! The love or hate thing. I'm not sure I would say that I don't understand them, but I definitely don't like them. No really good reason either. I really don't like Gibson basses at all. (But I really love their guitars ) I just associate them very strongly with rock and roll, which is not the kind of guy that I am, I guess. I'm worse, though, when it comes to B.C. Rich.

But I do agree that the T-bird makes up for the bandanna.

Your right KB, the Gibson Thunderbird, back in the day was the bass for hard core rockers. Back in the early 70s I didn't have the kind of bread that would allow me to get one. Things are better now so I picked up this gem a few months ago.

I am also partial to vintage Fender Telecaster Basses. I just think those things look cool. I own 2.

I heard Gibson did or is going to discontinue the Thunderbird so if anyone wants one they best jump on it soon.

Sure, be my guest.

If you want to look like the Cow Boy dude from The Village People that's entirely your call

Yeah, that was the point of the thread, being able to laugh at ourselves.

Did you see my GK rig in the back ground?

Cool! As you can see from my avatar, I have a Gibson T Bird in white with an ebony fret board. I put Mike Lull PUs in it and chrome hardware. LOVE it!

I also play my Hofner Icon Club bass a LOT. Love it too!

I was not aware that Oscar from "The Office" was also a Bass Player.

Maybe a more interesting shirt would do.

I’m very understated on stage (I don't really trip on the experience), but that’s my nature, and your band/music is different.

What I’m embarrassed about is my big belly, which is why I seldom post my pic, haha.

If I retained my youthful look like you did, I’d perhaps be different.
