Warmoth ebony

I was checking out the Warmoth site (kinda surprised by the new format... I like it) and was looking at their neck woods and was just struck by the picture of the picture of ebony (scroll down to it) http://www.warmoth.com/Bass/Necks/BassNeckWoods.aspx. Is that really a picture of ebony? I think it's just a black square. They're just playing us.

I thought about putting this in luthier's corner, but really I'm more amused than I actually care so, have at.

There is something about this, that’s that’s so black, it’s like; “How much more black could this be?” and the answer is: “None, none... more black.”
