We just booked the coolest gig ever.

My friend joe, (The g**tarist) his mom and step-dad's 10th anniversary is next year, so Joe asked if our band (Zagnut) could play, and they gave us a thumbs up. And better yet, we get to play our style of music... so we are gonna have lots of fun.

Here is what we have planned:

Song 1, start out like we are going to play some elvis song that is in the key of E so that 5 or 6 chords into it, we can let it ring and start in with "Enter Sandman"

Song 2, "She"- Green Day

Song 3, some original we have not come up with yet

Then a guitar solo

4, Electric Funeral (Oh ya!)

5, Drum solo

6, Teen Spirit

Bass solo

7, "Best of me"- The Starting Line

8, some song we are going to write for his parents

9, "Stand Alone"- Iced Earth

So essentially we are going to try to get a bunch of bald 40 year old white guys and overly-selfconcieous 35 year old white women to start "rocking out" or to just leave... either way, it is gonna be super funny.

I always thought it would be the coolest thing to be booked as a laid back band and do laid back songs but right in the middle play "Hammer Smashed Face" by Cannibal Corpse then go right back to slow songs and just act like the CC song didn't happen.

For real! Solo anything is REALLY hard to do. unless maybe it's piano or harp, at anyrate, it's a difficult thing to do, and have the mood not drop, or have people NOT throw things at you.
