We played live on tv this morning!

I've been waiting all day for the video to be posted to the web. One of our fellow TBers posted it for me in another thread, which let me know it was up and running. Thanks very much, Howlin' Hanson!

I'm just glad I didn't get any Jabba The Hut Chin! LOL!

I felt like we did well. The anchor who interviewed us is an avid biker, so we switched our song order to feature a song about ridin', which pleased him a *lot*! They don't show the commercial bumps in the video, but they do show the entire feature song.

We got up at 3 a.m. to go do this, but it is worthwhile. People for 150 miles around see this program. I feel like we'll get plenty of good work from this.

I know lots of people don't dig Fox, and I'm not a big fan of some of their national broadcasts. But our local Fox affiliate does a lot to support local music, and their weekday morning live music spots do so much for so many bands here. Everyone at the station, from the anchors to the producer to the crew, were just wonderful to us, and made it a great experience. Its a wonderful opportunity, and I'm so thankful we were able to have it!

Thanks! You know, I hardly slept the night before...too keyed up. But once we got up there, we just pretended we were playing the local ice house, and everything fell into place. The people in the studio made it very easy.

National tv...lol! Hey, you never know! Ol' Simon C. may decides he digs us! LOL!

Joe told us about an English band they had on during SXSW. If you ever make it across the pond during the festival, you just never know...they could feature you, too! If the woman who books the bands digs you, you're in.

Yeah, its one of the reasons I've never been able to bring myself to move away. Who else features live music on the local news every morning?

It was a lot of fun. And then I came home and slept for four hours. LOL!

Thanks! I wish every community had something like this. Its such a help...gets your music out to lots and lots of people. People who don't use myspace, or go to bars, but who buy music to listen to, or who go to festivals, or who have the money to give private parties. And the band doesn't spend a dime for this publicity! Awesome. Truly awesome.

Thanks hon! We're hoping to hear from a certain large venue southeast of the city, which markets strongly to bikers, pays well, and whose venue name references a woman, and wild pork-on-the-hoof. We've been trying to get them to pay attention for months now.

Thanks! I feel very fortunate...the whole band does...to have gotten the opportunity and to have it go so well. When we finish our cd, we'll go back on the program...so we'll be back on tv in spring. Can't wait!

This whole tread is one of the reasons i like TB: one TB'er is happy with a show and other support her, giving advice and maybe helping her band further. Wonderful!
And what a nice segment on tv - good anchor by the way, he seems int. in the band and remembers Cherie.
A lucky break indeed.

Yep...its like having a whole bunch of brothers and sisters.

Joe is awesome. He really was into us...and he's going to go out riding with our singer and drummer. Way-cool! Everyone there was just as nice and enthusiastic as he was. We are *so* lucky!

Yep. TBAG was the last of 4 or 5 clubs I hit that night. 8Ball Down sounded great, as always. And I got a free CD!

I agree - it's like a little window on another world!

LOL!!! Sure baby! Just don't go sellin' it on eBay, 'k?

I love doing that song in a good biker bar, especially when we've got the sax and the harp. We draw the song out, with leads for everyone, rockin' it, and the bikers go nuts!

We were going to do a funk tune, which would have been good, too, but since Joe's a biker, we knew it would tickle him to hear "I Love My Harley". Sweet!
