I am officially the ONE and ONLY bassist in my school.

Now it is a really small school, about 350 people at the most, but I expected at least one or two other people.

Just thought I would let you all know, someone might get a good kick out of it.

There are probably 8 or 9 bassists in my school of about 1,000 but to the best of my knowledge I'm the only one that reads music.

Like omg, all tha bass plazors at my skool all play wit pics and only play blink 182 and green day. i's is so much better den all of dem becuz i use my fingers...

God, I really dislike people who are so full of themselves and conceded...

There are a quite a few bass players at my school and I am just an average bass player.

Well, I guess you never seen my uncle's bass. He has a 20 string bass and I play it all the time. I play super mario on it and everything. I don't have any pictures or videos of it but still...

(Hahaha, a guitarist said something similar to me before. I was talking about Jean Baudin and his 12 string bass and the guitarist said "Yeah, I've played one of those before, my uncle owns one. They're actually pretty easy to play" and so I say "whose your uncle?" and he says "Joe... he used to play in a famous metal band" I asked him "what band?do you have any pics of the bass?" and he said "I can't remember the name of the band, and no, my uncle doesn't like taking pictures..." I havent talked to him since.)

at work, there are at least 12 bassist. that's about 18% of the GC Sherman Oaks crew, by my rough calcualtion/estimation.

I know I'm the only bass player in my university halls of residence. I also know that there are only a handful of people doing music degrees who play bass as well. It's mostly guitarists and pianists/violinists.

There are 4 or so bassists in my school of about 600, and honestly, I am the best out of all of them, not to sound cocky haha, but they all suck.

My best friend took up bass 2 years after I did because I'm so good

and yeah, he's still bad.. pooor Russell..

there are only 3 good bassists(including me) at my school of 1000+
students.
Gives us alot of work for our school's Jingle Jam and Music Fest

I actually started playing bass because the school band needed one. Glad I did, because that sparked quite a few others at my school of 400 to do the same!

I know of four other bassists at my school, although I'm not sure who's the best, as I've only heard two of them play (and that was for about 3 minutes each).

I'm not sure how many others there are at my school.

These posts all seem really surprising to me because when I was in my last year at secondary school (in 1998) it seemed like every guy in the year was in a band. I didnt have one class where I was the only bass player.
