Seeking rhythm section for new act with management and contacts already in place. Must have contemporary look and the chops to follow world class guitarist/frontman with years of previous stage experience. Long hours, jet lag, etc. No wankers.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds? (The 'no wankers' kind of made me think of it).

Originals power trio seeks second guitarist. Our singer/bassist is an up-and-comer on the local jazz scene. Drummer wants to play fast and furious punk rock. Our existing guitarist doesn't really know what he plays... actually he isn't very good. So you'll have lots of opportunity to make a contribution to our unique and creative sound! Experienced pros only.

Hmmm... Sadly I don't know the exact origins of Steely Dan...
Did I get it?

Heavy Metal band is looking for a drummer. We've had a hard time keeping drummers, losing them for many different reasons. Anyway, we have 2 visionaries in the band, and a bassist. Our lead guitar player is amazing and is known for his solos. We're signed, have management and a killer stage show. We have gigs on the books, just need a drummer who will stick around for a while.

I'd have picked Michael Ray. But Kool & the Gang made some good dance music, so I guess it wouldn't be a great fit. And I don't think the Cosmic Krewe (the post-Sun Ra Sun Ra Arkestra) lacked a bassist.

NYC art school couple needs another guitarist to complete band. No need to play in tune.

Ambitious rock trio with prog leanings looking for a skilled bass player. Stage antics not required; singer has that covered. The odd hit song written would be appreciated.
