And Spank. I, for one, give up.

You got it. Joe Strummer was enamored with Woody Guthrie and insisted everyone call him Woody. He wouldn't answer to his given name, John, and after changing his name to Joe Strummer he would get really angry if any of his old friends called him Woody.
Hey Spank, how bout another clue on #45 before we give up?

Any takers for the ad in post 97?

I always thought there was a lawsuit in there somewhere between Hanna-Barbera and Bob Marley's estate.
The Banana Splits theme song; "Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la,"
and the refrain in Buffalo Soldier-"Oy-yoy-yo, oy-yoy-yoy-yo,"
Carry on... |

Banana Splits is correct.

Never heard of them but "evidently" that is the answer?

Once again, with clarifications: Ambitious rock trio with prog leanings looking for a skilled bass player. Stage antics not required; main singer has that covered. We all sing like opera divas, so no vocal skills required.
The odd hit song written would be appreciated, and if you're handy with a soldering iron the job is yours!
