what to do between finishing playing a gig and getting your food

Subbed as a favor for a dinner jazz gig and finished a half an hour ago. The kitchen's slow and they ain't in a rush to feed me. What should I do while waiting?

Not a bad idea but my tapa just came. Looks good too. I'd offer to share but the logistics aren't good.

I had this happen at a gig once. We played a cocktail hour for a wedding, and we were promised food. So, we plunked ourselves down at the bar (wedding reception was in the other room), and explained the situation to the barkeep, who called the manager over. A half hour later, we got some mediocre burgers. I occupied a seat at their bar the whole time, drinking water.

After I finish breaking down and loading out my gear, I sit at the merch table and attempt to sell stuff. Kind of lame, but I'm not looking to score with chicks. If you sit next to the other bands, I like talking with them and trying to network for more shows. Sometimes i'll take a break and watch the other bands if they're worthy. If the crowd is small and i'm bored i'll just go home.

Then again, i guess i'm talking about a club gig not a wedding gig.
