What do you drink during a gig?

Sorry I don't get to post much. I do read what you guys have to say and follow your advise from time to time. I live in the south (Mississippi) where it gets really hot (often over 100). We do play outdoors. Often times I see players drinking everything from cool-aid to who-knows-what while playing gigs. Serious question - What do you guys drink on stage?

I drink diet Coke and water. Not together. Now and then I'll drink a beer, but it's usually a special occasion.

We also play outdoors occasionally, and well over 100 degrees, but next to no humidity. "It's a dry heat!"
I drink only water DURING play time, but during breaks, I'll drink a Diet Coke if it's available. Definitely NO ALCOHOL until I am at least packed up - and then only maybe one beer.

Pre-gig----1 or 2 Jack & Cokes to relax

On stage----water, if anything

After the show----beer

Only water for me.

I'm a bit of a boozehound at times, so I definitely avoid it on gig day/night.

Better safe than sorry.

Depends on the gig (and weather), but ideally I enjoy a beer.

We did a couple school gigs (middle school) where obviously it wouldn't have gone over well to have a bottle of Sam's sitting there on my amp (That and we played at 9AM, which violates my no drinking before noon rule)

I never drink liquor before/after gigs.

After setting up, I'll have A beer.
The rest of the night it's soda water and lemon.
Nobody pays to see a drunk play.

Water during a set is a must...If it's really hot, maybe try a Gatorade or Powerade, or one of those types of drinks...

I've had a beer on stage and we occasionally do a shot of Jaeger before going on...Now that relaxes you...

Beer or coffee, depending on the time of day and what's being served.

When doing an outdoor gig I usually have beer and water. I try to drink one bottle of water per bottle of beer. I also usually bring Wellington Arkell Best Bitter, a very light beer with taste.

I rarely drink alcohol before I play, i feel it numbs the buzz a bit. I drink Blue powerade on stage, or water. Coke and fizzy drinks make your voice gargly. Worst thing I ever did was eat a MASSIVE chinese right before I played and washed it down with coke(pre singing days) I felt like a bloated pig whilst playing.

Beer, and water. I don't like to have anything sweet because it gets on my hands, invariably, and then my hands are sticky.

If its real hot (I'm in Texas), I drink a lot more water than beer, or no beer at all. I don't usually have more than three beers when I'm playing, any time. More than that, I get too fuzzy-headed to play well.

Beer before (Guiness usually, one or two, no more) and water during. Lots of water. +1 to above, I am normally a soda junkie, but I never drink soda/sports drinks/etc at a gig. Sticky hands suck!

Diet Coke or coffe on breaks. On stage nothing. I'm worried about spilling stuff on equipment... and we rarely have more than 4 or 5 seconds between songs, so there really isn't enough time.

Yeah, they do. You're standing there, nothing to wash up with, rubbing your hands on your jeans...and then its time to play! YUCK!

I like a stouter beer during the winter, but most of the time, I drink one kind of light beer or another. If I drink anything too heavy, I blow up like a balloon in the heat.

I do like a little Knob Creek, neat. But if I have a shot, that's one less beer. And in the heat, whiskey goes right to my head, so I save that for winter, too.
