Not sure if this is the right forum, but eh, sorry if it ain't...

What do you guys wear on gigs? I'm looking into wearing sports jerseys since they're comfortable, but what kind of things do you guys wear?

whatever suits, whenever im gigging its normally rock or something like that, so i jus go wit my chucks (cant lose with those), fitted jeans (stovepipes or something slightly looser lol), and a tshirt or long sleeve tshirt depending on the temp...

but look into whats expected or normal for the genre of the gig your playing

I like to make a social commentary with my t-shirts. Thus, I like to wear t-shirts like "You + Me + Your Friend" or "Surgeon General's Warning: Harassing me about my smoking may be hazardous to your health." I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from wearing shirts like that, especially my "I support the performing arts" tee with a stripper on a pole.

A friend of mine is also an up-and-coming photographer/photo manipulation guru, so I made a deal with him to shoot pics of the band in return for me wearing shirts with his stuff ironed on the front.

Man U. or Chelsea Jersey or Giant's & Yankees Jersey in the winter. In the Summer cargo(or similar shorts) and some kind of funky t-shirt. I've also been know to wear a Motohead shirt to a top 40 gig, and a Spice girls shirt to a Metal gig. I like to poke fun @ myself.

Graphic T-shirt (usually a band shirt, random 80s cartoon character, etc) with blue jeans and Diesel sneakers.

Usually wear pants instead of shorts for some odd reason, and a t-shirt or button-up shirt. Typically just stuff I would wear around town, nothing too fancy. I'll wear sports jerseys too, like you said, because they are comfortable, and you get to support your team while you play!

The one requirement for myself, though, is that I HAVE to be wearing comfortable shoes during gigs, so my back is supported and my feet don't hurt while standing for a while.

One gig I do, we wear bowling shirts and black pants. Other gigs I do, I'm asked to wear a black dress shirt and black pants, otherwise known as "The Universal Band Uniform (TM)." And occasionally, I get the come as you are gigs, but I still try to look pretty
