Mine is when no one is home. I live in a rural area so when I'm all alone, volume goes max and I go crazy. |

Up at 4a and practicing from 4:30 ± 6:45.
I used to practice 2 hrs morn, 2 hrs afternoon and 2 hrs after dinner. But I'm not in any bands now and not writing much.
Plus I'm getting up there. Once I hit 50 I slowed down a lot. No big. If I ever take up DB I will be right back at it!!

So while some of you may say "Why waste all your time on TalkBass when you could be practicing!" I can just say that I am practicing!
Although honestly, I feel my least productive time is when I'm jamming with my band. Sometimes it all clicks and we make something great, but a lot of the time its just noise, and when I get home I just don't feel interested in music.

I also do a little warm up around 7:30-8 a.m. on Sunday morning just to warm up the hands before I head to church and play. I usually warm up there too.

I'm a huge insomniac, but as long as I practice in the AM I can say insomnia has been very productive for me. I run scales, try out new techniques/build on old ones, and play around a LOT with my various effects. My new regimen involves a buttload of walking over changes.

| | | | I get off work at 2pm. Once I get home, I grab a pop and my bass and I get my practice time in before I do anything else. One time I made the mistake of eating dinner first, and after that all I wanted to do was lay on the couch and watch tv. No practice that night. So for me its first thing after work. |
