He plays a Kay guitar that he's had for years and treasures it, so people now think they are worth something. A guitar can have a lot of personal value, and that can misrepresent resale or MARKET value for the uninformed. I don't know who would put a price like that on there, when you could buy a FAR superior instrument brand new for that price. It's not as though they are collectable or anything...will a Johnson or Stagg bass/guitar be worth hundreds a few decades from now? I don't know, if there is an idiot that will buy it then I guess so lol
