Here ya go...

It's used to make reactor cores, don't get much harder core than that. Highly corrosion resistant, but can be a real PITA to machine as it wants to push ahead of the tool rather than shear.

An alloy of iron, lead (from dolomite ore), copper (also from dolomite ore), technitium, eropium, americium, gold, and osmium. All forged in the belly of Krakatoa. The resulting steel shall be tempered with ice from a comets tail and refined with the carbon of blood diamonds.

Unobtainium.

If unobtainium is, um... unobtainable, consider hellstone. You'll need a Nightmare Pickaxe though, or at least a Nightmare Axe played with a pick.

When I was a kid titanium was called unobtainium, but at that time it pretty much was, since it was restricted to military use here in the US. Small amounts of surplus stock was sometimes sold elsewhere, but it was bloody expensive and you pretty much had to know someone who knew someone to get any. It was not until the USSR folded that titanium became cheap enough and unrestricted enough for it to show up in general use outside the military.

One of the r/c race cars I used to run had shock shafts made from very hard blued steel which they called unobtainium. It was plain old carbon steel, but it was heat treated so it would take a high polish to reduce stiction.
