When a girl and boy bass player get together

Sign in to disble this ad
Is it just me or is it an absolute paradox the way that guy bass players are extremely attracted to chick bass players, but when they get together in real life its just as if they were both playing bass live on stage. - Its just a jumbled mess. ?

so, the only two choices are (1) just you or (2) absolute paradox? what about (3) carrots?

actually, the Chick with Bass thread may provide some opportunities to test your hypothesis ...

The best case scenario for dating a female bass player is that she has better gear than me and is willing to loan it to me. Id take a female drummer anyday though. ;-)

Dated a bassist for 16 months. No tragic or messy ending, just kinda drifted apart...

girl who play bass > girl who play guitar
I don't mind if I play the bass too, unless she uses my basses!

I've never been attracted to a bass playing girl.

Sounds weird, but it IS kind of like music.
Don't need two bass players in music, but you DO need a bass and a soprano...

Dating other musicians is kind of just weird.. Cant explain why, but it never seemed to work out with me. Currently seeing a concert photographer and that works out a little better. Things are more interesting. Plus she takes pictures of us

Most men are attracted to women, no matter what instrument they play. Whether the relationship works depends on the two people, not their choice of musical instrument.

You might as well claim that Chevrolet owners are attracted to each other...

Come on dude. There's often a big link between peoples' personalities and their choice of instrument, or their choice of hobbies or anything else. Don't overthink it. I've never met a sassy girl bass player.

Well, since it's YOUR relationship in YOUR life with YOUR specific set of circumstances and parameters...

...it's just you.

There's no cosmic, universal reason why your relationships fail. It's just you.

Good luck.
and Have A Nice Day!

I've been married to my bass playing wife for over ten years.

I wasn't attracted to her because she plays bass.

I was attracted to her because she is totally hot.
