My girlfriend and I were talking the other night about how she's trying to save up money for a car or to move out or something (thank god for being 16) and she made the joke that I should be helping her save money. I told her I was saving up money for the band?

*sarcastically*"When is this band going to start making you money, anyways?"

"It'll

I've read this topic 30 minutes ago. I'm really having difficulty coming up with a reply without it sounding like a smart a$$.

I'm probably reading more into this than I should, but she's already asking for support money at 16? I'm not entirely sure a life of bliss is in your future. j/k

Another reply. Hehe...
"But when I start making money, I'll need to upgrade my gf at that time. The longer I'm unpaid is the longer I get to spend with you."

The only reason you should help her save money is if, once able, she will use that moiney for bigger boobs. Otherwise, whats in it for you?

Any time someone asks if I make any money playing I always tell them of course i do, and at the rate the cash rolling in it should only take me 70 years or so to pay off my gear.

Just when it looks like I've knocked some years off my payback period, some new piece of gear starts whispering to me.

Jokes aside, I once rode a bus for a couple months in Canada playing country music in a bunch of isolated little towns. At the end of that little adventure when we were returned to the states and dropped off, I had earned just enough to get a plane ticket home.

Be careful in any dealings with women - they will steal your soul and then come back for your liver.

During the recession in the 80,s the band payed the bills.
You can do quite well augmenting your income with the right band.
Had a twenty year run with that band.
