Me: Man, that was fun. That drummer was really good.
Other guy: Don't you know who that was?
Me: No?
Other guy: That was Jerry Mercer from April Wine.
Me: Cool!
Apparently he lives in the neighborhood and drops in once in a while.

The best I got is Ted Nugent.
Didn't we just do a thread like this?

I also played with Gerald Veasley in an educational setting. He's an unbelievably nice person and a great educator as well as being one of the best bassists in the world. |

Otherwise, no one with somewhere better to be would stop in my town to 'jam'. lol

I've opened for several big acts, but never directly jammed with them.

| | Yeah, I've got the moves like Jagger. | | Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: G.R. MI | | Nationally? Gotta be my drummer. I had no luck finding their video, but I did find their big song from the Road Rash soundtrack on Youtube. Somewhere on the interweb there is the full length music video featuring lot and lots of flour falling from the ceiling.
Here's the roadrash sound track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXcGJrFU3Oc
They actually opened for Dream Theater for one tour. I guess techno pop is a pretty rough opener for technical metal. He did get to hang out with Mike Portnoy though.....

Eddie Money, Brad Gillis (Night Ranger, Ozzy), Leonard Haze (Y&T), David Medd (The Tubes), and Gary Putman (Dread Zeppelin).
There's also a list of sidemen I've gigged with that have toured with the biggies; mostly drummers.

Ronnie Milsaps, Five-Eight, Local H, The Giraffes, Riddle Of Steel, Egypt Central, Social Burn, TRUSTcompany, Puddle Of Mudd, Saliva, Crossfade, Finger 11, Clutch, Yellow Card, and Blue October.
Local H was the best by far out of all those acts. Followed by Five-Eight. Totally super nice guys.
