When do you think we'll see wireless power cords hit the market? 2012?

And before someone else asks, what's the best power cord for metal?

Never. I don't believe it's possible to transmit AC current through the air as you can with radio frequencies.
... And the best power chord for metal is A5

Idk the Government stole most of Tesla's work immediately after he died, so there's no telling when we'll have access to wireless power transmission...

It IS possible and I'd say it won't hit mainstream market before 2015.
Google it, there's already quite a lot of working prototypes.

Probably so. OTOH you do NOT want to stand between your amp and the power outlet.

I'm not so much interested in wireless power, we may not see a practical and affordable means to that in the near future.

A wireless PA snake, now that would be a development!

There are definitely some changes coming in the power cable market. I hear Al Sharpton has been asking the US Congress to ban white power cables.

A battery powered rig would be really heavy. I've been spoiled from owning a GKmb212.
