She's from American Idol. I've seen her live opening for someone else...seems like a nice down to earth young lady.

She reminds me of my girlfriend. I could see her giving the same answers. When I first met her, I thought she was dumb, and felt like I could never fall in love with her. (That was a plus at that point in my life). But she has a real wisdom when it comes to human relationships, and is one of the kindest, most generous people on the planet. Five years down the road, and I'm completely crazy about her. And my respect for her knows no bounds. I've learned from this relationship that intelligence comes in different forms, and it's made me much less arrogant and judgemental.

Probably just really poor education. Don't be too hard on her. She has a big heart and tours constantly to entertain the troops overseas and stuff. I'm a fan.

I say it's a put up job - all part of the act. Seems to have worked, too.

I dunno. I think she has the perfect qualifications to be a cable TV news pundit.

Considering her up-bringing and childhood circumstances, the fact that she is where she is today and not still on roller skates at the Sonic in Albemarle, NC is amazing. I'd buy all of her records before I'd buy any of the prefabbed garbage that is out there now.

People may call her stupid, but she has made more money that most people will ever see in their lives, and she'll probably do a far better job hanging on to it than most celebs. I'll take that over Geography prowess anyday.

As far as the show, kids is more smarter these days! But it's still painful to watch...
At first I was ready to jump on the band wagon and joke about the France thing but after reading your post I reconsidered. I think there is some wisdom in your words.

I don't live in Nashville, but I know plenty who do. And I know some people who used to work at some big labels. The ONLY thing I know about Nashville is that NOTHING is as it seems. Some of the people you think are the biggest drinkers and smokers read a novel to go to sleep right after every show (this same person tweets about how drunk he is all the time). And some of the people you think are the sweetest little country girls slept their way to the top.

My point? If I had to guess, I would say this is an act. It keeps her in the news and in your email box going viral.

Cute girl...I believe she grew up poor, so perhaps getting an education was the least of her problems. I've also seen dumber people being interviewed during the Howard Stern show.

What a stretch.

A person's ignorance can often be astounding, and this is certainly a case of that. This is also much funnier now than when I saw it on TV.

On another note, I think it unfortunate when people take a joke like the one Jeff told personally, like she did. It's show business, not reality.
