Man I suck Well not that bad I guess, but years of being a living room warrior did show. Had a bunch of fun though, played a bunch of blues and blues rock 60's/70's tunes with a VERY good drummer and a patient guitar player. I have a lot to work on now and a reason to shed more. I kept playing 10 bars instead of 12 . Now I know how the teenagers feel.
What a difference playing with a drummer makes.
Chris

Congrats! That first time is pretty intense haha. I've been playing with this one guitarist for about 3 years now...I do the exact same thing, play 10 bars rather than 12. Not all the time, just when I stop paying attention to what I'm doing haha.

Anyway, glad you had a good time. Now get back out there and keep jamming! It's the best feeling in the world

Congrats on getting out there.

It is a whole different world playing with live musicians. You have to learn to adapt on the fly to changes in tone and dynamics, as well as keep up on those extended guitar solos.

It was fun, the two of them had about 75-80 years combined experience! I not quite ready to play out, but at least I know what it is like to actually play now, and what to keep working on.
