"I need you tonight"
"I want to feel you close"
"I long for your touch"
"Hold me tight"
"in your arms"
etc etc etc...
All these euphemisms for "I want to **** you" - always bothered me for some reason.
On the other hand it would bother me to have it spelled out clearly as well.
I mean, it's a love song, so we all know that eventually, they'll get it on some time, why not spend the time on singing about emotions and feelings other than the old "need"...

Basically everything about metallica, and AC/DC's vocals and lyrics.
songs by either all-girl bands or bands with a female singer about girl power, also, if I hear another gawd dang song about that guy that cheated on you and how you got revenge or some other crap, just stop singing. Same thing that goes for guys trying to be sensitive about that "one girl", either how he loves her or how he's depressed that she left him.
Rock/"classic rock"/hard rock songs about, rock music. Basically anybody who for some reason needs to blather on about how much they exemplify the musical genre that they decide to play, or write songs about various stereotypes associated with that genre.
there are a few others, but I'm deciding not to post them because I might offend somebody.

I'm also sick of all the cowboy hats. (I mean, I LIKE cowboy hats, but not when EVERYBODY's gotta wear one as a status symbol. (Real cowboys never even wore those style of hats).

Don't get me wrong, I like some country, but I've started noticing stuff like this.

It's a way of singing that makes me think they have their mouth wide open, and the notes aren't any deeper in their head than their freeking epiglotis. So, anyone familiar with that tone? It's not that it sounds so bad, it's just that too many singers do it, obviously to fit a genre. I hate that.
