I was asked to sing Happy Birthday to "Harry Mann"

I kind of laughed it off as "a good one... mr customer"

During the break, learned that it truely was his name and he was hyper sensative about jokin it.

Egg on me.

^ I would love it if my name was Harry Mann! It would be appropriate.

There was a jam band back in my college town whose bassist's nickname was "The Budget." I don't know how they thought that would be a cool stage name, but there you go.

I'm in a group and the idea of calling ourselves "Toe Jam" is being thrown around. ...Not sure if it's a joke anymore....

I play in the 'Old Bones Blues Band'.
Singer/guitar 'Wobbles'
Harp 'Hoppy'
Drums 'Wammy'
Bass 'Doc'

We've been together 5 years, and have never called each other by our real names.

I don't think the guy was too happy about it, but my friends took to calling a sub-bassist on the jazz-fusion scene 'The Walking Root'. Not particularly flattering!

Otherwise, I was once in a band where the singer (named Les) decided we all needed stage names. He decided on Lesticle...

Anything with the band's name incorporated, unless the band is named after you, like Van Halen. There was a band I knew in college called "The Craze" and the lead guitarist went by "Johnny Craze".

Had a drummer who called himself "Phil Uranus". He was somekind of sexual pervert, or that's what law enforcement called him in court years later so I heard.....
