UPDATE ON PAGE THREE!

Played a show tonight at a local venue. It was a good gig, loaded all my stuff back in my car then went and hungout with some friends. Came back to my car drove home. I pulled in my driveway and turned to grab my bass and my head, and to my complete devastation they we're... are both gone. I locked my doors, and when I got back to my car two of my doors were unlocked which I thought was a little strange but I just shrugged it off.

So now I'm out a Phil Jones head, which I just bought.

Craigslist score of the year?

And a Pedulla Pentabuzz, my baby. FML

:b awl:

I feel for you Pedulla?, that really has to be a kick in the guts.

Without sounding like I'm scolding anyone - can we all please NEVER put our gear in the back seat where it's visible. Our basses we can keep with us at all times - they're small and we love them. Amps go in the boot/trunk. I'm sure there's plenty of evil f**ks who have twigged that there's guys coming out with gear at the end of club gigs into dark car parks.

I really hope you get these back soon man. Good luck.

Watch your local CL adds. It just might show up.

A TB super-sleuth was able to track down his purloined Stambaugh recently.

TODAY:

- Notify police
- Contact every pawn shop within 5 miles of the site - give them a printed notice if possible, describing the stuff
- Get the word out locally to friends
- Put a stolen notice on Craigslist if possible
- Watch Craigslist for postings

Had the very same thing happen to me a little while ago: Rare, early ASAT bass lifted from my car through a smashed out window. I bleed for you, dude...

I have a word file on my desktop with the Brand, model, and SN#s of every instrument, amp, or other piece of musical equipment I own. And pictures of EVERYTHING... lots of them... Families, closeups, unique, or identifying marks... pics of it with ME in it... That way there is no doubt that rhese belong to ME. I have not done it yet, but someone suggested writing or taping your info on the inside of the control cavity...

Just suggestin'...

Oh, man, what a drag. Very sorry to hear about this. In addition to pawn shops, cruise the local music stores that offer used gear. Something similar happened to me years ago on a Saturday night, the junkie sold it all for 10 cents on the dollar to a reputable local music store at noon Sunday, and I found it on their sales floor Monday evening. Got it all back, too. So it can happen. Hoping for a happy ending on this one.

that sucks, it's not horribly common stuff so keep an eye out in the surrounding area and maybe you'll get lucky.

Bloody savages...

I'd keep your eyes open on CL. Offer his asking price, and show up with a crowbar.
