Wow, some interesting bass techniques in this video

It's got three basses, four bassists, and the only non-bass instrument seems to be a toy xylophone. The bassists sometimes use what seems to be some very avant-garde techniques, but the sound is always a pleasant, poppy groove. Can anyone make any sense of this?

Haha.

Haha, yeah. I also play actual children's music, though, so this is not a stretch.

Yeah, I'm also the guy who posted a video of another one of his bands a couple of weeks ago with a lengthy rant about how it had the worst bassist in the world. Just my sense of humor...

Oh, and the guy who made the tripleneck posts on TB, too, so don't say anything too mean about it!

I have a habit of carrying out completely absurd ideas with complete seriousness and full effort!

And I don't own any single-neck bass guitars.

Does anybody know of any good software to get animated GIFs out of videos, btw? I'd love to make those from a few spots, like the arco part after 4:10 or the "four girls one bass" bit in the middle.

NONE AT ALL. Admittedly some interesting instrument choices. But - does anyone actually PLAY them? Doesn't look like it to me.

Yeah, mostly.

The song is actually three tracks of the DB, one track of the Krappy tripleneck BG, two drum machines and vocals. The Hembry doubleneck BG and the xylophone are not used in the song, that's only in the video.

I just got a nice surprise in my inbox - a remix of this track done by the pianist from another one of my bands. It's all glitchy, and he had enough good taste to not use any of my vocals, haha. It's not crunk in the slightest! Check it: http://www.myspace.com/ludwikzamenhof
