Strange how it went right to the speaker like it was on purpose.

I wouldn't buy it but it doesnt sound tooo bad..

the DOA thing is kind of fishy though

The speaker thing, if it's done properly, is actually ok. I accidently put my knee through my 15' speaker one night just before two gigs and though I didn't play it (obviously) it wa repaired with some glue by a soundie a few days later. Lasted 2 years till one night I hired it to a band I used to play in and the glue finally lost it's bonding. Man, was it tore up then! I've got pics to upload when I get home, it was a sight to behold.

Hi.

Up to a $100, I'd say it could be a good deal, the tweeter is something like $20 IIRC if someone really likes that awful hiss anyway and the woofer is easily repairable.

The DOA statement however...

I have bought numerous "insurance claim" items over the years and usually when there's an easily repairable intentional damage done to the item, the real cause lies somewhere else.

I probably wouldn't buy this one without trying it first, it's no WM, nowhere near it. I don't consider it a SWR, it's a Fender, which spells POS for me in the entry level products.

Regards
Sam

Sounds like the thing doesn't play at all, and he's trying to cover his arse.

He's really trying to pull a swift one here. By stating it works and not giving a refund, and yet stating that if it doesn't work it's the shipping company's fault he's attempting to absolve himself of any liability.
