Other types of music can be jazz, but only if they're the same as something different from those other kinds.
Next time some civilian asks me what syncopation is...

OOOOOOOH, this whole thing is too funny! I'm glad I swallowed my coffee before I started reading.

I don't know if that interview is true or not, but I wouldn't doubt it. Yogi has had some real whoppers over the years.

On-the-other-hand. Yogi Berra is one of the richest baseball players of all time. He was notoriously frugal, but honest. His favorite drink was Yoo Hoo, and bought as much stock in the company as he could in his playing days. The stock soared over the years and made him rich beyond most other baseball players.

BTW: Yogi Berra holds some records too: The two that I can remember are:

1. Most times hit by a pitch. He'd take one for you anytime he'd be asked to.
2. Most number of World Series Championship rings. He was on ten Yankee championship teams.

Ya gotta love Yogi! He's one in 6 Billion!

Who cares if Yogi actually said those words or not. Most of what we say he said never came from him. He's like those dead jazz guys: he's become an institution, attributable for anything that fits a "Yogi-ism."
I'm sending this link to some friends right now.
