Are You Or A Friend Listed In This Bassist Guide?

Sign in to disble this ad
I found this guide doing some web searches a little while back. I found the web page by discovering that my name was listed in it, and I had no prior knowledge of the web page's existence.

No big deal, it's just a fun page loaded with names of bass players we know, and others that we haven't heard of. There are a couple of names strangely missing as well.

But I think that this web page was posted with the love of bass players in mind, and that's always ok with me.

Are you or someone you know included on the list in this guide? -

Nope. I'm not on it. Either I should be offended... or I need to get out and play more

bassplayersontheinternet.com is a good page as well. But one must submit their URL info to the page administrator there in order to be posted on the page. I am actually listed there because I made the request over a year and a half ago and received a posted link to my website.

But the "list" is something that I think was done from the heart.
Can't say if one or more persons compiled such a list, but nonetheless, it appears to be a labor of love!

Was the list made to list every bass player or every bass player on the internet?

Nope, not on either....
I still find weird links to some of my old bands though.. and I found an amp company named after me!!! Hahaha...

www.dabeckcustomamps.com

I was temped to order one but they don't do any bass stuff, and I'm not that good of a guitar player to justify the cost.

@Elemeninki
I don't know the actual background of how that list was compiled, or who compiled it. I ran across it in a search engine search one evening a while back.
I found it to be a fun list to post and talk about with other TB members. I even posted a link to it from my own website's links page. Have fun!

Jack Casady missing from the first list. Mark Andes not on either list. Woeful.

Yes, there are some notable names missing from the list, I did notice that when I first came across it. I still don't know who compiled it, so a question does remain about how it was completed.
It's still a good list though!

ah, I'm not on the list. Oddly enough though, I noticed there are many big name death metal and black metal bass players that are not on the list, such as Alex Webster.

I'm on the euristyclist list, but not bassplayersontheinternet.

No idea why I'm on that first list. Maybe from my BassPlayer articles in 1997-98...
