Oh man, Maria McKee can still send shivers up my spine. One of the best voices ever. Did they do "Wheels" by any chance? I have a live recording of it that absolutely kills!

I spent an ungodly amount of time in a pretty bad goth band "back in the day" but we got to open for Switchblade Symphony, who were pretty cool on the whole.

hmmm... here's a slightly different take on this thread...

these bands OPENED for my band: deftones, papa roach, alien ant farm, trapt

we've also played with: incubus, system of a down, bad brains, limp bizkit, mindless self-indulgence, green day, and probably a few others I can't think of off the top of my head.

of course, the famous bands that opened for us - at the time, hadn't sold millions of records yet.

Oh yeah, I saw someone else mention Local H. We are set to play with them on May 9th! Should be a good time.

You opened for the Polyphonic Spree? Their music is so happy it makes me want to die...

A Blues band I played with opened for Johnny Winter-He
was in real bad shape; he looked terrible and sounded awful.
We also opened for one of the incarnations of the GoGos
with Kathy Valentine and Gina Shock-remember them?
Also Jimmie Vaughn, he was boring, and the Buddy Miles
Express band. Buddy weighs about 500lbs and sat around
telling Hendrix stories.....Classic..

Let's see here...Pat Travers, Pantera, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Ziggy Marley...the list goes on, but I'm strapped for time- there was one show I really enjoyed, opening two shows for Al DiMeola. Really nice, gracious guy, not the monster I'd been told about. All in all, pretty groovy.

My band has opened for Willie Nelson, and Blues Traveller. Cherry Poppin' Daddies opened for us one time. That was probably the highlight of my career.
