The "You Suck!" lady.

....So many of us have seen the YOu Suck Lady at Gigs.....
But she chased my band to our practice. We were just jamming and she appeared on the driveway (we were practicing in a garage) and immediately began ripping us all up, saying how we did good classic rock (we were a punk band....) and I made a good singer becase bass is so easy (i don't do vocals by the way....) and that we should try some good oldies from various 70's bands.....

Truly frightening. FOrtunately, after that band split up, I never saw her again. My drummer quit playing though, and the guitarist switched to classical (she is absolutely INSANE though.)

Well, she wasn't really the "You Suck" lady, but still...

There was the 5'3" balding, fat heckler I politely asked over the PA, "Do I come to McDonalds and bug when you are working?"

Shut the twerp up right away, especially with all his tall pals pointing down on him and laughing.

And there was one lady @ one of my very early gigs. She came up on the stage (absolutely boxed, btw), and is chatting with our drummer. Anyway, conversation ends and she does the old "K! See ya later!!" while walking forward but looking backwards.

LOL!!! I'm laughing typing this....

She walks right off a 3 foot stage and lands full force on both knees. LOL! **** me, that had to hurt...

She was at one of our shows recently. We had just finished Friend of the Devil and she stumbled to the stage wanting to hear some Grateful Dead. We told her we just finished a Dead song. Then she started yelling, "the band sucks!" Our next song was Dancing Nancies from DMB so we changed the intro lines to insults about her. The whole bar was laughing at her and she left. It was great.

On a side note, why does she always seem to be by herself? She never has anybody with her, odd.

It's so funny that they think they can hold a full on conversation with you while you're in the middle of playing a freakin' song.

warning : may be a little off topic ...
scene : local watering hole { the Pour H**se " } ... local musician's here will know what i'm talking about .

woman gets upset about the band's inability to play " good" music , basically " you guy's suck !! " .
loud , drunk , obnoxious , stupid ... you all know her .

she gets into scuffle with other bar patrons , male and female , a fight ensues and they all roll out into the parking lot .
someone pulls a pistol and shoots " you suck " woman dead .
everyone scatters ... cops and EMS arrive to remove corpse . RIP .

sounds like a made up story right ? wrong ! absolutely true story ...

just so happens my band plays there the very next Friday night ,
and as i'm sitting in the parking lot waiting for the drummer to arrive , another big fight spills out the front door ,
right next to my truck .
men punching women , women scratching men , quite the scene ...

scared the crap out of me ... i refuse to play there anymore .

Never had a problem with the You Suck family, of course it helps when your fanbase is comprised of teenage hormonal girls who really want to get with your singer.

Actually, one gig I played there was a drunk dude standing on my side and he kept yelling something and pointing at me,...well I couldn't hear what he was saying so I thought he was into it. After we finished the song I heard what he was yelling..."You really aren't playing, that's not really you, It's a recording"

***!?! He thought my bass playing was a recording! My friends told me to take it as a compliment. We'll those are the hazzards of playing in some establishmnents.

normally when the "you suck" guy shows up at the club.......i just say these five words.................

DAD.....YOU'RE DRUNK......GO HOME

Well, it wasn't exactly the "You Suck" lady at our last gig,
but this girl kept yelling for us to play "Baby Got Back",
she persisted thru 3 sets...I finally said OK, but that she
would have to sing it...We didn't really know it, but we
laid down a vamp, and this chick got up and just tore the
roof off of the place...She busted the damn thing like a
pro...She was fine too....Take a look.
